How much does the cake weigh and what size is it? Will it be fresh and arrive in good condition? Why should I pay for an expensive product online when I can go to a local wholesale club and get a brand name product?
We’ll tell you why we think you should choose an It’s A Piece Of Cake cheesecake. All our cakes are 9 inches in diameter and weigh 4.5 pounds. All are made fresh by hand, and we never keep more than 1 or 2 in stock (and that’s only on the most popular flavors!). Cheesecakes are one of the easiest foods to freeze with no effect on the product. Ours are shipped frozen in specially designed packaging that we had created to insure a safe temperature and quality product for up to 70 hours.
All of our quality cheesecakes are made from separate batters, which means we do not make one batter and add different toppings for different flavors. Each flavor is made individually, using only the most expensive cream cheese, real chocolates and other flavors, and baked in the same kind of oven you have in your kitchen, the way our Mom has been doing it for the past 32 years. Our cakes are not mixed and poured by some machine and baked on a conveyor belt oven in mass form. Is your website secure?
Yes it is. We use Pay Pal for a secure and reliable payment portal. Although a little more expensive to us, it is one of the most trusted names in the industry and we choose it for your and our protection.
How does your shipping work?
All our cakes must arrive within 2 days to insure a proper temperature. For this reason, your choices of delivery are UPS 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air. Please check your shipping options carefully as we cannot be responsible for an improper choice of shipping. Please double-check the shipping address as we cannot be responsible for an undeliverable address. The following guide is regarding orders placed by Any order received Monday and Tuesday will be shipped the next day. Any order received Wednesday will be shipped the next day but you must choose UPS Next Day Air as your shipping option so it can be delivered by Friday. Any order placed Thursday-Sunday will be shipped on Monday. If you wish to have a cake shipped on the same day as your order, and are willing to try one of the few we may have in stock, please feel free to call us. If you live in the Southeast, chances are good that a UPS ground shipment would be sufficient. Since we do not up charge on shipping, this would mean a substantial savings to you. Can I ship a cheesecake for a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday delivery?
We cannot ship on Sundays or certain holidays because of UPS restrictions. If you need a Saturday delivery, feel free to call us so that we can get it to you on time if it is possible.
How do you package your cheesecakes for shipping?
All our cakes are shipped frozen to 10 degrees in a specially designed, layered Styrofoam package on top of an ice pack which we have tested to hold your cake at a safe temperature for up to 70 hours in an 85 degree atmosphere. This is then placed in a corrugated shipping box for added protection.
Do you ship to military addresses?
Because of the delay in military shipping, we’re afraid we cannot ship to a military address.
What do I do if I need a cheesecake shipped with special priorities?
You may choose to place your order without a payment or shipping option and we will call you to discuss shipping and payment.
What happens if someone is not home to accept the delivery?
We ship our cakes no signature required. The UPS driver will leave the package in a convenient and conspicuous place (usually by the front door) unless you already have another designation specified with them. It has been our experience that most orders are delivered before on most days.

What happens if you are out of a flavor that is ordered?
Most of our cakes are baked fresh when you order them. This is why we ship the next day. We do keep a limited stock (usually 1 or 2) of the most popular flavors on hand for same day shipping requests. Sometimes during busy holiday seasons or for reasons beyond our control we may not be able to receive certain special flavorings or ingredients. We reserve the right to substitute a similar flavor of equal value if necessary. We will do our best to inform you ahead of time. Please note: This has not happened yet in the 3 years we have been shipping.
How do I cancel an order?
You may call us or e-mail us with a cancellation. You must then phone us so we may credit your account, as our website is so secure even we cannot access your credit card number. You must request a cancellation as soon as possible as we may have already started baking for the day and may not be able to help you at that time.
